Data Cleaning To improve Data Quality (February 9, 2021)

Getting your data ready

It's commonly said that data scientists spend 80% of their time cleaning and manipulating data and only 20% of their time actually analyzing it. More than deleting information, this process is focused more on updating, correcting, and consolidating data to ensure your set is as accurate, robust, and useful as possible. For this reason, it is critical to become familiar with the data cleaning process and all of the tools available to you along the way.

This month the ASCP Working Group meeting will be be a interactive workshop to help you improve your data quality and in doing so, increases overall productivity! Aniqa Hatem, a doctoral student in the I/O program, will lead this important virtual workshop.
